I once used to love getting unexpected, surprise checks in the mail. I never thought I would see the day that I would actually cringe at the site of getting a check in the mail, and hate them more than the actual bills I get in the mail and have to pay....Funny how life works like that.
I figured since I own a "Find Work Online" (Work At Home) website, I would share this with those out there that could also get scammed by this method, and give a heads up about it.
If you have been scammed by a company, please email your experience to onlinesource123@yahoo.com , and I will consider adding The Warning to the website.

Making Money SCAMS
Updated 05/15/08
I want to bring to your attention a couple of scams I personally have come accross in the last 3 months. It makes me so angry that people try to take advantage of those looking to work from home!
Anyhow, In January of this year, I recieved a check in the mail for over $3,000.00 saying that I had won some sweepstakes that I never remebered entering from Publishers Clearing House. The check was issued by IBM (A very well known, reputable company, that most people have heard of... It even used the IBM logo on the check. The check looked completely legitimate, and at the time could have really used the money. I was smart about it though, and called the issuing bank of the check before I deposited it into my bank account. Of course, the check was fraudulent, and the bank teller had told me she recieves tons of calls a day about it, and is in fact no good. My bank then told me if I were to deposit it and wait for it to clear, it could still bounce even after it clears, and I would be responsible for the fees involved, not to mention probably have a felony charge against me because I would also be responsible for the $3,000 plus!!!
Okay, So I got rid of the check, forgot about it, went on my merry way. I put it all behind me, and accepted the fact that I am not that lucky...lol
Then, the other day, I go to check my mail, and I have a letter from "General Growth & Marketing Research Logistics INC" Saying they are the secret shopper employment firm. Also stating they represent over 1250 firms....blah blah blah...and You Guessed it! ANOTHER CHECK! This one is for $2,870.00. I remebered my experience from only a couple months ago with the other one, so I immediately Googled it, and sure enough...Another scam, of another company trying to take my bank account information.
